Usually when an advertiser needs to shorten an URL, she or he goes quickly to TinyURL because of the following advantages:

Well … what’s good doesn’t always last forever! The new owner of the CLIGS service decided to make a stupid change. Instead of being directly redirected to the user’s page, the visitors now are redirected to a CLIGS preview page. That’s VERY BAD and the user loses some traffic. Not everyone will understand what’s that preview page.
It seems that the new owners bought that service in order to shut it down! If this is what you’re looking for, OK. Good-bye, CLIGS.
