By the way, Chris, the post you commented on was in fact a tip for the ADVERTISERS, not for publishers. Many advertisers use blacklisted domain names and purchase advertising space in ezines published by publishers who don't have a clue on how spam filters work ... There are a lot of such publishers...

That's why I recommend to all advertisers to learn themself how to protect their investment in ezine advertising instead of waiting for others (the publishers) to protect them.

That's correct, Chris.
Suggesting to the subscribers to whitelist the publication is one little step on the way to avoid the messages being blocked by the spam filters.
However, there are many other steps that altogether can guarantee a significant improvement of an email deliverability.
Suggesting the whitelisting of the publisher's email address is a MUST that I recommended too in my brand new special report How to Avoid Spam Filters

Suggesting your subscribers whitelist your publication will avoid most spam filters altogether. The trick is giving the instructions for the ISP or email provider in question.

I built a comprehensive and free email instruction generator; that will create user whitelist instructions for all the ISPs and most of the popular client side spam filters.
