    Ezine Ad Co-ops - Don’t throw away your money

    Five months and a half ago I’ve told you that my good friend Cor Hartenberg was forced to stop publishing his ezine.

    Despite the fact that his main website is no longer available and the blog where he posted his ezine states very clear that Cor is no longer publishing his ezine (see here: http://bnmg.blogspot.com/), many ezine ad co-ops still take your money and promise that your ad will be published in Cor’s ezine BestNews Marketing Gazette.

    Almost half of year has passed since BestNews Marketing Gazette is no longer published, but those guys are so busy taking orders from customers that they don’t have time to update their ezine ad co-ops.

    Since this cannot be an acceptable situation, here you have the list of ezine ad co-ops where sometimes you may throw away money when buying ezine ads.

      Here is an update:

      1) Ezines-R-Us finally removed BestNews Marketing Gazette from their ad co-op. After seven months …

      2) Ezines-R-Us still continues to promise to publish ads in ezines not published anymore. They didn’t fully clean the ad co-op. Just another example: Scoop of News. This ezine is not published since late December 2007 and its domain name is just a parked domain name. You read it well: two thousand and SEVEN. One year ago …

      Another update:

      1) HBAds finally removed BestNews Marketing Gazette. The total number of subscribers remains unchaged (1,900,000). Yeah, right!

      2) They didn’t bother to check also whether other ezines they list are published or not. The same like Ezines-R-Us, many ezines listed there are not published anymore - including Scoop of News.

      3) Compared with Ezines-R-Us, HBAds lists more ezines not published anymore.

      4) What worth to be noted is also that the biggest part of the ezines that are still published have a VERY DIFFERENT number of subscribers than the one HBAds claims.

      Cor Hartenberg passed away on May 25, 2009. Cor was 62 years old.

      I will miss you, Cor…
