When you should NOT buy ezine ads

    June 23rd, 2008

While reading this morning an ezine, I noticed an advert that determined me to write this article, so that to help you avoid a mistake that advertiser made.

There are cases when no matter how good your ad is and no matter how good your landing page is … you’re losing money if you promote your product/service by buying ezine ads.

Here is such a case: the last line of the ad I read this morning is …

    California Residents Only

What is the problem? The tons of the ezines you find online do not have subscribers only from California. The ezines being online publications and the internet being a world wide market, the ezines have subscribers not only from California or from US, but from all over the world.

For example, I publish 2 ezines and one of them has 39% of susbcribers living outside US, and the second one has 33% of subscribers outside US.

If you target US citizens only and try to promote your business in these ezines, you waste more than 30% of your advertising budget.

Think a little bit and see how much you waste when you target only one state from US.

Conclusion: if you want to target a LOCAL market, never ever buy ezine ads because you waste a lot of your advertising budget.

In such case, try another form of advertising. For example promote your business in a LOCAL portal or directory.

Ezine advertisers, here is some food for thought

    June 20th, 2008

I have some questions for you today …

If I offer you more copies of the SAME book … will you read each copy of that book?

Dumb question, right? Keep reading …

What about this … if I offer you one single so called ebook and ALL pages of that ebook are EXACTLY the same … will you read each and every page of that ebook?

    Another dumb question?

If I paste now HERE the link to my website for about 50 times … you know, exactly the SAME link … will you click on the link for
    50 times?

Did you read enough dumb questions?

At the end of this post, you will understand what’s the point of these questions. Don’t forget the questions and … keep reading …

John Doe is a reader of a certain ezine and it happened to read the classified ads section.

A lot of the ads are EXACTLY the same. Why do you think John will read all identical ads and why do you think that he will click on all the links that basically will make him visit different IDENTICAL sites. [they are different because the affiliate links are different, but they are identical because the affiliate sites are identical - only the address is different and the person getting the credits is
    different]

Now you’re starting to understand my initial questions?

If John gets in front of his eyes 50 identical ezine ads, he will read only one and he will click on only one link.

The rest of the ads and their advertisers are LOSERS.

    Did you get the point?

If you just follow the advise from the members areas of different programs – which is copy and paste this great classified ad or solo ad and then do nothing while the money are coming … you’re only a LOSER because you diminish very much your chances to get a good result.

Remember the first questions? You won’t read all the copies of the same book. You won’t read all the pages that are exactly the same. You won’t click on the links that are exactly the same.

    Straight to the point …

Readers won’t click on YOUR ezine ad and you’re losing money unless you are the lucky one from the other affiliates who posted EXACTLY the same ad really believing the STUPID advise that copy & pasting ads is the way to go.

If you earned some money doing copy & paste things, don’t tell me about this. Remember the first questions that I’m sure you’ve said that are dumb, and then ask yourself how much money you did NOT earn because your competitors used exactly the same ad
and the readers were NOT dumb to read the same ads and click on the same links.

Think a little bit … and stop throwing away your money.

Stop being a newbie … go to the next level!

    Pre-written Affiliate Ad Copy Sucks

    June 6th, 2008

I’ve read yesterday a very good article about a major MISTAKE that most of today’s marketers do.

The chances YOU to be one of them are very high!

I wrote myself about this mistake but I didn’t see any improvement of the ezine ads I receive daily. Most of you didn’t read my article or … still like to LOSE money.

    Huh?

Yes, a lot of YOU lose money doing the same mistake.

If you really care about YOUR money, then read this article and then spend more time on your ezine ad.

Much more time than a few seconds needed to copy and paste exactly the same ezine ad thousands of other people use.

Now here is the article: Pre-written Affiliate Ad Copy Sucks.
